Nachi Taisya

Nachi-no-Taki Honmiya: Near the waterfall is a shrine called Nachi-no-Taki Honmiya. This shrine is one of the Kumano Sanzan, also called Nachi Taisha. Visitors can worship the waterfall and feel the sacred atmosphere.

Three walls

Sandanbeki in Wakayama Prefecture is located in Wakayama City and is known for its precipitous cliffs of white limestone towering into the sea. The San-dan-babe is a precipitous cliff that stretches for about 1.5 kilometers and reaches a maximum height of about 50 meters. It is a popular tourist destination for many tourists and mountaineering enthusiasts because of its beautiful scenery and powerful topography. A promenade has been developed along the Sandan Cliff, where visitors can enjoy walking and trekking. From the San-dan-babe, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the vast Pacific Ocean, which is especially impressive at sunset. There is also an observatory nearby where visitors can relax and enjoy the scenery.

Engetsukijima

Engetsu Island is a small island located in Nanki-Shirahama Town, Wakayama Prefecture. As its name suggests, Engetsu Island is characterized by rocks in the shape of a circle moon. Engetsu Island has become a popular tourist destination for its white sandy beaches, crystal clear seawater, and distinctive rock scenery.

Engetsu Island is also called “Tsukimi-no-hama” (moon-viewing beach) because of its distinctive shape. Especially in the evening, visitors can enjoy a beautiful view of the island as the sun sets. From a distance, it also offers a fantastic sight, as if the moon were floating in the sea.
