Day 1 TOKYO SKY TREE→ASAKUSA(KAMINARIMON)→AKIBAHARA→UENO
Tokyo Sky Tree: Completed in 2012, this 634-meter-high radio tower is known as the world’s tallest freestanding radio tower, and offers a 360-degree view of Tokyo from its observation deck. The night view is especially spectacular and attracts many tourists. The area surrounding the Sky Tree is also a popular tourist spot, with shopping malls and restaurants. It is also a wonderful place to enjoy the view of the Sumida River along with the view from the Skytree.
Asakusa (Kaminarimon): Located in Taito Ward, Tokyo, this historical area is particularly famous for Senso-ji Temple. Senso-ji Temple is the oldest temple in Tokyo. Passing through the Kaminarimon gate, visitors will find Nakamise-dori Avenue, lined with traditional Japanese sweets and souvenir stores. Tourists can enjoy eating and shopping for souvenirs here. In addition, the surrounding area offers a night view lit by lanterns and cruises on the Sumida River, where visitors can experience the atmosphere of Edo (old Tokyo). Furthermore, the Asakusa Culture and Tourism Center offers a wonderful view, making it a spot filled with local charm.
Akihabara: Located in Tokyo’s Chiyoda Ward, this area is known as the center of anime, manga, and game culture. It is also famous as an electronics town, offering the latest electronic devices and PC parts. Lined with many specialty stores, maid cafes, and otaku-oriented stores, the area is bustling with tourists and locals alike.
Ueno: Located in Taito Ward, Tokyo, this area is rich in culture and nature. Ueno Onshi Park is particularly famous, with the Ueno Zoo, the National Museum of Western Art, and the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music all located within its vast grounds. In spring, when the cherry trees in the park are in full bloom, the area is crowded with cherry blossom viewers.
Day 2 MEJI JINGU SHRINE→HARAJUKU→SHINJUKU→TOKYO TOWER
Harajuku: Located in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, Harajuku is the center of youth culture, especially fashion and trends. Takeshita-dori Avenue is lined with unique stores and cafes and is characterized by a lively atmosphere.
Meiji Jingu Shrine: Located near Harajuku, this shrine enshrines Emperor Meiji and Empress Dowager Shoken. Surrounded by a vast forest, the shrine grounds are quiet and peaceful, making you forget the hustle and bustle of the city. When you visit, you can feel the nature and history of this spot. By visiting Harajuku and Meiji Jingu together, you can enjoy both modern culture and traditional Japanese charm at the same time.
Shinjuku: A vibrant area in Tokyo, Shinjuku is the center of business, shopping, and entertainment. Large department stores such as Isetan, Takashimaya, Keio, and Odakyu are located here.
Tokyo Tower: Located in Minato Ward, Tokyo, this 333-meter-high landmark was completed in 1958. It features a design modeled after the Eiffel Tower and is widely known as a symbol of Tokyo.
