Kawagoe Kawagoe: A historical city located in Saitama Prefecture, the area known as “Kawagoe Street” in particular retains a strong trace of the Edo period. Kawagoe is also called “Koedo,” and is characterized by its old-fashioned streets and rows of warehouse-style buildings.
Tomioka Silk Mill : Located in Tomioka City, Gunma Prefecture, this historical facility is a symbol of Japan’s modernization. Established in the Meiji era, it is an important place that laid the foundation for Japan’s Industrial Revolution. In particular, it is registered as a World Heritage site because of its significant contribution to the development of Japan’s silk industry.
Day3 IKAHO HOT SPRING→ISHIDAN STREET→KASIKABASI
Ikaho Onsen Ikaho Onsen is a hot spring resort with a history of approximately 1,300 years. According to legend, it was discovered by Gyoki in the Nara period (710-794) and became a bustling hot spring resort in the Edo period (1603-1868). A hot spring resort with a long history, it is also rich in cultural attractions.
Ishidan Street : Climbing the 365 stone steps, you can enjoy the atmosphere of a good old hot spring resort town with many inns and stores in the center of the hot spring resort. Climbing to the top, you can also enjoy the wonderful view and enjoy sightseeing as well as visiting the hot spring baths.
Day4 TAKATSUDO GORGE→WATARASE GORGE RAILWAY→KEGON FALLS→NIKKO
Takatsudo Gorge Located at the foot of Mt. Akagi, the gorge is characterized by the beautiful scenery of the surrounding mountains and the water flowing through the gorge. Especially during the fall foliage season, the mountains are dyed in vivid autumn colors, providing a spectacular view of the valley and the surrounding mountains.
Watarase Gorge Railway: Because the train runs along the valley of the Watarase River, beautiful natural scenery can be seen along the line. Day5 TOSHOGU SHRINE→RYUOUKYO GORGE→ASHIKAGA FLOWER PARK
Nikko Toshogu Shrine : Located in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, this shrine is dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, a feudal lord of the early Edo period. It is one of Japan’s historical landmarks and is registered as a World Heritage site.
Ryuoukyo Gorge Ryuou Gorge: A deep ravine created by the Kinugawa River, the gorge is dotted with rock walls and waterfalls and offers powerful natural scenery. Walking along the promenade along the canyon, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the four seasons, such as the murmuring of the river, fresh greenery, and autumn leaves.
Ashikaga Flower Park Ashikaga Flower Park is famous for its wisteria flowers, especially in spring, and its vast 1,500-square-meter area is filled with beautiful white, purple, pink, and other wisteria flowers. In addition to spring wisteria flowers, Ashikaga Flower Park offers flowers of all seasons. Lotus flowers and salvia bloom in summer, cosmos and dahlia bloom beautifully in autumn, and illumination in winter creates a fantastic atmosphere.
Day6 NAGATORO IWATAMI→SHIOYAMA KEIRINJI TEMPLE
Nagatoro Iwatami : A unique landscape of large, flat rocks along the banks of the Arakawa River, the rock pavement stretches for about 1 km. These rocks were carved and shaped by the Arakawa River over thousands of years. They are especially beautiful during the fall foliage season, when the contrast between the colored leaves and the rock pavement is exquisite. Many tourists visit in the fall to enjoy the beauty of nature.
Shioyama Keirinji Temple : Located in Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, this temple of the Rinzai sect of Zen Buddhism is historically associated with the family and relations of Takeda Shingen. The temple has a beautiful karesansui (dry landscape) garden, where visitors can feel the spirit of Zen Buddhism. The garden offers seasonal views, especially beautiful in the fall when the leaves turn red.
Day7 SHOSENKYO GORGE ROPEWAY→OISHI PARK→KAWAGUCHI LAKE
Shosenkyo Gorge: The gorge is characterized by its magnificent scenery of clear streams and rocks. The valley is dotted with waterfalls and rocks of various sizes, including the 10-meter-high Shosenkyo Falls, where visitors can feel the power of nature.
Oishi Park: This place is especially beautiful during the cherry blossom season in spring. Approximately 1,000 cherry trees are planted in the park, and when they are in full bloom, the entire park is tinged with pink, attracting many cherry blossom-viewing visitors. In addition to cherry blossoms in spring, the park is also attractive for its autumn foliage and snowy winter scenery. Day8 OSHINOHAKKAI→LAKE ASHINOKO PLEASURE BOAT→OWAKUDANI→TOKYO
Oshinohakkai Fuji: A group of beautiful ponds, famous for their clear source of natural water from Mt. Oshinohakkai is especially known as a tourist destination for its natural beauty and the purity of its water.
Lake Ashinoko Pleasure Boat Lake Ashinoko Cruise: This sightseeing activity allows you to enjoy the beautiful nature of Hakone from the water. Fuji and the Hakone mountains in the background, a peaceful cruise around the lake is the perfect way to remember your trip.
Owakudani: This is an area where hot springs and steam erupt due to the volcanic activity of Mt. Hakone, and geothermal activity is very active.
